I would also suggest visiting Sugar Sweet Sunshine on the Lower East Side. It's my favorite cupcake place in NYC. Enjoy!

Can't wait to try these cupcakes! Thanks so much.

Ive gone to Magnolias and Buttercup & Billies and they have the greatest looking cupcakes. It's a joy to go there.

I couldn't get my 20 year old to pick up a spatula in the kitchen. No interest. Just ooddles of noodles from a package. I gave her a cupcake cook book, 'cupcakes' by Pamela Clark in January for her b-day thinking it might inspire her to cook some delights for her college friends. No go. But this summer, out of utter boredom, she started to bake cupcakes from scratch. (banana carmel, my fav) We've had to beg her to stop as the cupcakes began to multiply, but I'm thrilled she's finally interested in cooking!

The banana caramel cupcakes sound divine. I just saw the movie Julie & Julia. A must for all Cooks!
